INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police were investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the 600 block of North Chester Avenue around 12:30 a.m.
Police say the black male was shot at least once. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A detective on the scene and the mother of the victim both identified the victim as 23-year-old Antony Walker.
From an initial investigation, police say there was an altercation at the house on North Chester Avenue between Walker and another male.
The other male involved was found on North Grant Avenue. The police report says the 25-year-old suffered severe lacerations. Police said was taken to Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital. His name has not been released. Police are not yet calling the second man a suspect in the case.
Police were still investigating the incident, as of Wednesday morning. No one has been arrested in the case.
