Anniversary of the largest one day tornado outbreak

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — June 2, 1990 still stands as the largest single day tornado outbreak in Indiana history.

Thirty-seven tornadoes ripped through the state in the afternoon and early evening hours.

One of the areas that suffered the worst damage was the city of Bedford.  237 homes in Indiana were either damaged or destroyed by twisters.
