3 people arrested after police find drugs during traffic stop

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana State Police arrested three people for multiple drugs found during a traffic stop.

According to State Police, a trooper stopped a white Ford truck for impeding the flow of traffic on eastbound interstate 70 Thursday around 4:33 p.m.

During the traffic stop, police said the trooper noticed indicators of possible criminal activity, then searched the truck.

During the search police found:

  • 255 grams of psychedelic mushrooms
  • 17 grams of cocaine
  • 16 grams of marijuana, one gram of methamphetamine
  • Six grams of MDMA
  • 11 sublingual hits of acid
  • Schedule II controlled substance prescription tablets
  • $340
  • Assorted drug paraphernalia

Police said the trio were traveling to different location across the country performing at different musical events.

David Marriott, 30 of Bellflower, CA, Paul Olaechea, 26 of Commerce, CA, and Jordan Pollard, 25 of Los Angeles, CA were arrested.

The charges they face include:

  • Possession of Cocaine more than 10 grams
  • Dealing in a controlled substance
  • Possession of Meth
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

The trio was also cited for several federal motor carrier safety violations.
