Guns, drugs found during Delaware County SWAT raid
MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) – A suspected drug house in Delaware County was raided Thursday evening.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s SWAT Team raided the home located in the 2200 block of East 18th Street shortly before 9 p.m.
Police said weapons and narcotics were taken from the home and two individuals were arrested.
The home had been under surveillance since Tuesday by undercover deputies. They had made several narcotics buys from the suspects they arrested. Police said it was enough to establish probable cause to issue a search warrant.
During the search deputies found:
- A total of 32.2 grams of heroin
- 2.4 grams of marijuana
- .45 caliber high-point handgun
- A stolen AR-15 style rifle
- A box containing drug paraphernalia used to inject heroin (six syringes, burns spoons and ties)
- $4,265 in US Currency and a Chevy Tahoe were seized
Police arrested Larry Barnes, 53, and Danielle Phillips, 29.
The two are charged with dealing cocaine, possession of cocaine, maintaining common nuisance, and possession of marijuana.
