Tippecanoe County Jail inmate dies after being found unresponsive
TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A Tippecanoe County Jail inmate has died after being found unresponsive in his cell Saturday.
Joseph L. McClimans, 37, was found unresponsive in his cell around 1 p.m., according to Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Steve Hartman.
McClimans was initially taken to a Lafayette hospital before being transferred to an Indianapolis hospital where he was pronounced dead around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Hartman said.
Hartman said the investigation is ongoing.
