Bartholomew Co. man arrested for domestic battery

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A Bartholomew County man is being held on charges of domestic battery, criminal confinement and strangulation.

According to a release, deputies responded to a report of domestic battery in the 800 block of South National Road Sunday morning.

Police said when they arrived a woman had been found battered by her partner Esteban Loeza-Mendez, 40 of Columbus.

As of Monday morning, Loez-Mandez remains in the Bartholomew County Jail without bond.

The victim was checked by medics but was not transported to a hospital.
