Ceremony remembers death of Robert Kennedy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Dozens of people are remembering Robert Kennedy, who was gunned down 48 years ago Monday in Los Angeles.

There was a ceremony at King Park at 17th Street and Broadway Street Monday in Indianapolis.

The assassination came just eight weeks after Kennedy’s passionate plea in Indianapolis for calm the night Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was killed.

Mayor Joe Hogsett spoke and a choir from Eastside New Hope Missionary Baptist Church sang during Monday’s ceremony.

Students also presented remembrances of Kennedy.
