ISP, Speedway police and State Rep. to host active shooter preparedness forum

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana State Police, Speedway Police and State Representative Karlee Macer will host an active shooter preparedness forum.

The “Unarmed Response to Active Shooter Events and Violent Encounters” will provide prevention strategies and response options to increase the opportunity to survive an active shooter event or violent encounter.

The program has been presented to dozens of schools, businesses and churches around the state.

There are two opportunities to attend the event:

  1. Thursday, June 9 at Chapel Hill seventh and eighth grade center auditorium at 5:30 p.m.
  2. Saturday, June 11 at Speedway High School Auditorium at 1 p.m.

The program is intended for general public, school administrators and business leaders. The content is not recommended for children under the age of 14.
