Pastor watches on phone as man breaks into home Sunday morning

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A pastor’s home was broken into as he was preparing to teach Sunday, and it was all caught on camera.

Pastor Aaron Campbell of Fountain Square Baptist Church got a text around 10 a.m. alerting him to a possible break-in at his home.

He has surveillance cameras set up and a motion detection alert popped up on his phone.

He watched on his phone as a man walked around outside his home. The unidentified man knocked on the door, waited a few moments and then took off a window screen and crawled into the home.

Campbell called 911 and police responded but were unable to locate the man. He got away with some jewelry.

“It’s more valuable that this guy might get a second chance down the road because he got caught than it is that I save my property or something,” Campbell said.

The pastor hopes the man is caught and the incident will help turn his life around.
