American airlines changing reward points, T-Mobile offering new rewards program

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – American airlines is changing the way it rewards points, T-Mobile is offering some unique rewards program.

Starting August, the carrier will be joining the links of rivals United and Delta by rewarding loyalty members with miles based on how much they pay for their ticket.

Members of the frequent-flier program will earn at least five miles per dollar spent, with more miles doled out for higher status.

In other business headlines, T-Mobile’s new customer rewards program includes free T-Mobile stock.

“Stock Up,” is a program that offers every customer a share of actual T-Mobile stock, or at least one share per account. If you are a family of five, only the primary account holder gets a slice of the company. The program has other freebies like pizza and airplane WiFi.
