Brownsburg police ask public to help identify robbery suspect

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (WISH) – Police are asking for the public to help identify a robbery suspect.

According to police, they responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Brownsburg CVS located at 21 West Main Street Tuesday at 5:30 a.m.

Police said the cashier told them the suspect entered the store and walked around for about ten minutes before approaching the check out counter. After viewing the candy in the front of the counter, the suspect waited until he and the cashier were alone, then he pulled a handgun out and pointed it at the cashier and demanded money. The cashier said she followed orders and then the suspect ran out of the business.

The suspect is described as:

  • Dark complected black male
  • Approximately late teens to early 20s
  • Approximately 5’6″ to 5’8″ tall
  • Approximately 140-150 pounds
  • Black hair with twists on the sides
  • Wore a gray zip-up hoodie with white lettering on the front
  • Wore blue basketball shorts with a white stripe down each side and tennis shoes
