Three arrested in Ohio, face charges in Indy murder

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Three people in Ohio have been connected to a murder in Indianapolis in May.

27-year-old Robert Curry, 19-year-old Alexis Cole and 21-year-old Mariah Echols have been arrested and charged in connection to the murder of 31-year-old Carl Rice, Jr. Rice was shot and killed on Bankers Lane on May 23.

According to IMPD, Curry and Cole were arrested at a Red Roof Inn in Miamisburg, Ohio on May 25. Curry had an outstanding warrant out of Hendricks County, Indiana and is currently being held in the Hendricks County Jail. He has been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a handgun without a license. Cole was arrested in Ohio for possession of a stolen handgun and faces charges in Marion County for conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a handgun without a license.

Echols faces charges for assisting a criminal. Echols and Coles are both still in the Montgomery County (Ohio) Jail.
