Thousands line downtown streets for Pride Parade

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Indy for the Pride Parade on Saturday morning.

The parade kicked off at 10 a.m.

Floats, bands and dancers started their route at Massachusetts Avenue and College Avenue and made their way down Vermont Street and Pennsylvania Street.

Despite the weather, attendees told 24-Hour News 8 they were having a good time.

Following the parade, the Circle City Pride Festival got underway at the American Legion Mall.

Organizers say they’re expecting around 100,000 people to be in attendance.
