5 things to know about the Sunday forecast

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Here are some things to know for your Sunday forecast.

1) It’s been a soggy 24 hours. Most of central Indiana picked up anywhere between 0.5″ – 1.0″ of rain since Saturday morning. The rain this weekend adds on to what has already been a soggy April, with most areas across central Indiana ending the month at a surplus.

2) Watch for patchy, but dense fog for much of our Sunday morning – especially in northern counties where temperatures are a little cooler. Fog should start to lift by mid to late morning as temperatures warm.

3) Another round of showers and storms are in the forecast, however, rain chances will be much more isolated, meaning plenty of dry hours in between the showers and storms. Highs top out near 70° this afternoon.

4) There is a marginal risk for severe storms for this afternoon and evening. Main concerns will be damaging straight line winds and large hail.

5) A mostly dry and cooler pattern will set up for the work week. Watch for a few stray showers Monday afternoon, with another rain chance coming on Wednesday. Warmer temperatures will return by next weekend.
