BROWNSBURG, Ind. (WISH) — A Brownsburg man is behind bars for his brother’s murder.
Police had been searching for 28-year-old Justin Brabson since his brother, 30-year-old Christopher Brabson, was killed Thursday.
Justin was taken into custody around 2:30 p.m. at a Crawfordsville hotel after investigators received a tip, according to Brownsburg police. He faces a preliminary charge of murder with a firearm enhancement. He’ll make an initial appearance in court Monday afternoon.
Police said Sunday they don’t know why violence broke out between the brothers. Both lived in Brownsburg, according to police.
Christopher was found dead in a Brownsburg apartment on Meadow Trail after neighbors reported hearing gunshots.
A passerby reported seeing a man get into Justin’s car and drive off. The car was discovered empty Friday at the same hotel where Justin was eventually found, according to police.
