Charges filed against 13-year-old in Cumberland shooting

CUMBERLAND, Ind. (WISH) — A juvenile has been charged with murder following a recent fatal shooting in Cumberland.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced that a 13-year-old was charged for the murder of Anthony Harmon, Jr. Marion County Juvenile Court authorized the filing of a juvenile delinquency petition. A request for a waiver to adult criminal court was not made.

The court ruled that the child be removed from his home and kept in detention.

10-year-old Anthony Harmon, Jr. was shot and killed on May 27.
