Two hurt in apparent stabbing incident in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Two people were hurt and one was seriously hurt in an apparent stabbing early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 12:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Columbia Avenue, just east of the Columbia Street bridge in Fort Wayne.

Police at the scene told 24-Hour News 8’s sister station, WANE, that the incident started with a knock on the door. An argument followed, which led to the stabbing of two people.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. One was seriously hurt, while the other did not have life threatening injuries.

Police said something that resembled a machete was found at the scene.

The fire department was asked to clean up a large amount of blood left behind after the victims were taken away.
