Kosciusko Co. crash kills one, seriously injures another
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – One man is dead after a crash in Kosciusko County.
It happened at the intersection of U.S. 30 and County Road 800 West, near Atwood, around 7:30 Friday evening.
According to police, the deadly incident started with a different crash at the same spot.
25-year old Bert Hyde and 51-year old Donald Steward, of Etna Green, stopped at the side of the road to help in the initial incident.
Hyde got out of the Ford Mustang before it was hit by a Buick LeSabre driven by 29-year old Danielle Underwood, of Fort Wayne.
Steward was in the car when it was struck and died at the scene from blunt force trauma. Underwood was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
