Vigo Co. Sheriff’s Office working death investigation; one arrested on murder charges

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office reports there is an ongoing death investigation north of Terre Haute.

Details are few at this time but Vigo County Chief Deputy Moats reports they are, “currently working a death investigation.”

Moats continued to say they were called to the scene for reports of a white, male suspect down in the yard.

When they arrived, that male was found dead.

on the scene and our reporter states several people have said they are related to the victim. But, at this time we will not be releasing an identity out of respect for the family.

Officials can also confirm they have arrested Mason Crockett of Terre Haute. Crockett faces murder charges. We expect more details later today, after an autopsy is performed.
