Young pianists perform at piano competition

Such a talent! At only 8 years old, this young lady knows a thing or two about playing the piano and playing it well! Jessica Flowers (last year’s 1st place winner-Elementary Level) and her teacher Ms. Irina Gorin tell us more about the Carmel Klavier competition and what Jessica’s hopes are for this year and beyond!

1. The importance of Carmel Klavier competition for Midwest/Indiana:

– this is the only annual International Children’s competition in the USA (for ages 5-18)

– the rules and regulations make it accessible not only to prodigies, but also to many children who love music and want to showcase their talents

– motivates kids to practice in the summer time and make huge progress2. CK gives kids great opportunities:

– to showcase their talent in one of the best venues in the USA/World

– to get unique experiences in education, meet and communicate with kids from different States and countries

– develop life-long relationships/friendships and memories

3. CK has huge educational value:

– Participants and non-participants have a unique opportunity to take lessons and Master classes from world famous pianists/pedagogues who are the members of our International Jury

– CK raises cultural level of the performing arts in our community

– Educates general public about the importance of music in our lives and raises a generation of young people who are kind, responsible, and intelligent and emotionally enriched….4. Invitation to the community:
