INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A new race is scheduled to come to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

On Wednesday, the 500 Festival announced the mini-mini.

There will be five different race distances, ranging from half a mile to 2.5 miles.

They are fun runs, designed especially for kids. The races are open to children ages five to 12.

All participants will start and finish at the famed Yard of Bricks.

The races will take place on Saturday, September 10.

Each participant will receive a goodie bag, a runners bib with a timing device and a shirt.

After the race, kids will get a finisher’s medal.

There will be a Celebration Zone that participants and spectators can enjoy before and after the race. The Zone will have food, interactive activities for kids of all ages and a wide range of exhibitors.
