HENRY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A North Carolina died Thursday night after a motorcycle crash in western Henry County.
According to police, William Barnes, 69 of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, was driving his motorcycle when he was riding left on the roadway eastbound on I-70.
Detectives said the 2015 Harley Davidson Barnes was driving veered left off the roadway. Police responded to the report just before 10 p.m.
Police said the driver lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected as it crossed the gravel berm and entered into the grass area of the median. Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
