Oregon mom kills stranger in child’s bedroom

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Southeast Portland mom shot and killed a man who was found inside one of her children’s bedrooms early Sunday morning, police said.

The 33-year-old woman returned to her home on the 4100 block of SE 118th Place with her 2 kids when she encountered the 59-year-old man, police said. She reportedly used her own handgun to shoot and kill him.

The woman and her children, ages 5 and 10, were not hurt. She cooperated with investigators and the case will be sent to the Multnomah County DA for review.

The man’s name has not been released.

An autopsy is set for Monday.
