One killed in Randolph Co. crash

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – One woman is dead following a crash in Randolph County Monday evening.

According to the Indiana State Police, the two-vehicle crash occurred on State Road 32 west of County Road just west before 5:30 p.m.

Police said their initial investigation indicates that a 2010 PT Cruiser being driven by 20-year-old Dustin Tausch was headed westbound on State Road 32.  It was at that time the PT Cruiser drove left of center and slammed head first into an eastbound Chevy Lumina.

The driver of the Lumina, 75-year-old Faye Runner, was killed in the accident. The passenger in the Lumina, 41-year-old Emily Saylor, was transported by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

Also, a passenger in the backseat of the Lumina, 18-year-old Jacob Saylor, was taken to the hospital.  His injuries were thought to be non-life threatening..

The driver of the PT Cruiser, Traush, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries as well.
