Indy residents can receive free eye exams, glasses

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – People in Indianapolis without access to eye care can get free exams and glasses Tuesday and Wednesday.

VSP Global is partnering with Indianapolis Mayor, Joe Hogsett, and the United States Conference of Mayors to provide the mobile clinic to adults and children in need of care.

The clinic also has a finishing lab so you can get frames and lenses the same day if needed.

Appointments are open to the public and will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

“The City of Indianapolis is proud to partner with VSP Global Eyes of Hope and the U.S. Conference of Mayors to provide eye care to those in need,” said Mayor Joe Hogsett. “Eye exams are a critical part of a person’s overall health, and I encourage people to come and take advantage of this free service.”

The event is Tuesday, June 28 through Wednesday, June 29. It’s from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the People’s Health Center at 2340 East 10th Street.
