Lebanon house fire leads to nearly $70,000 in damage, two dogs killed

LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) – Emergency crews in Lebanon responded to an early morning fire Saturday.

According to the Lebanon Fire Department, crews arrived on scene in the 1400 block of Rovene Drive around 1: 15 a.m.

Heavy smoke and fire coming from the front and rear of the residence was initially spotted by crews on scene.

Crews were able to get the fire completely out just after 3 a.m.

Occupants of the home had exited the structure by the time crews had arrived.

Two dogs were discovered deceased inside the home.  However, no other injuries were reported.

Total damage has been estimated at near $70,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
