LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A 16-year-old is in police custody facing a list of preliminary charges after an attempted armed robbery at a Lafayette home on Salem Street.

Some of the preliminary charges include attempted robbery while armed with a deadly weapon, carrying a handgun without a license and battery.
