Police investigate robbery at Lafayette gas station

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police released surveillance pictures from a strong-armed robbery at a gas station.

Police said it happened around 2:00 a.m. Sunday at the Speedway on Elmwood Avenue in Lafayette.

According to Lafayette police, there were no weapons or injuries reported, but the clerk said a man pushed him and grabbed money from the register.

Witnesses told police the suspect ran away on foot heading south on North 19th Street toward Salem Street. Police said they weren’t able to find him.
