INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Muslims around the world and in Central Indiana will celebrate the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

The Al Salam Foundation, a Muslim non-profit on the northwest side of Indianapolis, is inviting the public to attend their celebration Wednesday morning.

Their celebration will be held at Maple Glen Elementary School in Westfield and they are expecting hundreds of people to attend.

The doors will open at 8 a.m. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a meet and greet.

The event is free and will run until noon.

The organizers of the event say they want the public to attend to see how they celebrate the holidays and to have a better understanding of their faith.
