Two arrested after multi-county police chase

MARION AND JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Two people are in custody following a police chase through Marion and Johnson Counties Wednesday evening.

According to IMPD, a traffic stop was initiated by a unit from the Southport Police Department near McFarland Road and Southport Road just before 7 p.m.

The chase lasted nearly 15 minutes before ending in Johnson County with the arrest of one male and one female.

Police said one of the subjects had an outstanding warrant. They also located what they believe to be narcotics.

Nobody was injured.
