2-vehicle crash sends two people to hospital for minor injuries

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A two-vehicle crash on the northwest side of Indianapolis sent two to the hospital for minor injuries on Thursday morning.

Indiana State Police were sent to Interstate 65 southbound near 71st Street after reports of a crash.

Police said a truck and an SUV were traveling southbound on Interstate 65 when they collided and went off the roadway. Both vehicles went into a small treeline and brush where they stopped.

The SUV driver was reported to be okay after the crash and wasn’t treated for injuries.

Two occupants of the truck had to be extricated. Police said both were sent to the hospital with minor injuries. An officer said they were being treated for bumps and bruises.
