Child injured after possible hit-and-run in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette police are investigating a possible hit-and-run crash that sent a child to the hospital.

It happened around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of North 16th Street. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say they spoke with witnesses who heard a scream, but at this point they have not found anyone who saw the crash or could describe the vehicle.
