ISP seizes 20 pounds of spice in traffic stop

WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Indiana State Police say a traffic stop revealed 20 pounds of spice and led to one arrest.

State police stopped a vehicle Wednesday just before 3:45 p.m. on State Road 18, near County Road 300 East, for a traffic violation.

The vehicle driven by 32-year-old Toby Jackson Gregory of Brookston was stopped for speeding, according to Trooper Tyler Stinson. State police report an “odor of drugs” was coming from the vehicle.

Trooper Stinson determined suspicious criminal activity was occurring. He found about 20 pounds of spice inside the vehicle.

Gregory was arrested and taken to the White County Jail. He has been preliminarily charged with dealing synthetic marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of synthetic drugs.

ISP said the investigation remains ongoing.
