Bloomington mayor meeting with members from Fiscal Task Force to accept report

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton will be meeting with the people in charge of putting together the city’s Fiscal Task Force to accept their report Thursday.

The group was tasked with reviewing the city’s finances, systems, protocols and resources to see where changes needed to be made. They were asked to provided a review and recommendations regarding the following:

• Are the fiscal systems and protocols appropriate for a city of our size and activities?
• Are there areas of weakness or vulnerability that should be improved?
• Is our capacity to manage and forecast our fiscal situation adequate?
• Are there practical ways our city can better manage and deploy fiscal resources?

At the meeting, Mayor Hamilton will share the results with the city council and the public.
