Authorities continue to investigate after pedestrian struck, killed in Hamilton Co.

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Authorities say drugs or alcohol did not contribute to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and two vehicles in Hamilton County on Saturday morning.

Police said Sarah Burgett, 27 from Fishers, was struck and killed just before 6 a.m. in the area near State Road 37 and 131st Street in Hamilton County.

Police said a male and female were attempting to walk across State Road 37. The male was able to cross the street unhurt.

However, Burgett, who was following was struck a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and then was ran over again by a 2006 Dodge Caravan.

Both drivers cooperated with police.

The crash remains under investigation.
