IPS enrollment begins for 2016-2017 school year

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana Public Schools is starting enrollment for the 2016-2017 school year.

School officials will be at the John Morton Finney Center for Educational Services on East Walnut Street Monday.

The school said they have people on staff to answer questions.

They’ll also have multiple stations set up to make enrollment quicker.

The school asks you to prepare your paperwork in advance. You will need to bring the following:

  • Student’s original birth certificate (no photocopies)
  • Complete immunization records
  • Proof of residence (a lease or utility bill showing your name and current address)
  • Picture ID for the parent or guardian

Open Enrollment is Monday through Saturday with a variety of early morning, late evening, and weekend hours.

July 18 through August 5: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Exceptions include:

  • Extended hours on July 20 and July 27 – 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday hours on July 23 and July 30 – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
