INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The hottest temperatures in almost two years are heading to central Indiana this week.
Numerous weather alerts regarding the heat, including an excessive heat watch in Illinois, have been issued for the majority of this week, and could expand eastward into Indiana sometime soon.
Expect air temperatures to reach up to 90° by Thursday, with highs hitting the mid-90s Friday and Saturday. Humidity will sky rocket along a strong southwest flow by the end of the week. Heat index readings will surge between 105° and 110° Friday through Sunday.
