City leaders assemble 100 backpacks for area foster children
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Faternal Order of Police, Mayor Joe Hogsett and other community leaders came together to assemble 100 back to school backpacks for area foster children.
The FOP Back to School Pack Event was held at the FOP’s Lodge on Helby Street, near I-65 on the near southeast side Wednesday afternoon.
The event was to provide information on how local law enforcement help children in need in Central Indiana. It also kicked off the 2016 Shop with a Cop program for youth in Indianapolis.
