She also shows off some living herbs in a pot; fresh herbs are a great way to flavor and variety to cooking, and can be planted in the kitchen year round.Edamame Cilantro Hummus

Ingredients
1 package of shelled Edamame| 12 oz
Garlic cloves | 2
Tahini | 1/2 Cup
Water | 1/2 Cup
Fresh packed cilantro leaves| 1/2 Cup
Lemon Juice | 1/4 Cup
Olive Oil | 3 Tablespoons
Kosher Salt | 1 Teaspoon
Ground Cumin | ¾ Teaspoon
Cayenne Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon
Directions
1. Place edamame into a large pot and cover with salted water. Place over
medium-low heat, bring to a simmer, and cook until tender (about 5 min),
drain
2. Puree garlic in food processor until minced. Add edamame, and all other
ingredients, blend until smooth

Fresh edamame in the shell is preferred, but frozen is easier
to find| As much as you would like to prepare
Sea or Kosher salt | liberally
Directions
1. If using fresh, strip pods off of the soybean bunch and boil the whole in
salted water for 5 minutes
2. (Start timing once the water begins to boil) Drain the pods, liberally salt
them, and them slip the seeds out of the pods directly into your mouth.
3. Have an extra bowl handy for the shellsCrispy Edamame

Ingredients
1 package of frozen shelled edamame | 12 ounces
Olive oil | 1-2 tablespoon(s)
Salt and Pepper| to taste
Grated Parmesan Cheese | ¼ cup
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the edamame into a colander
and rinse under cold water to thaw. Drain.
2. Spread the edamame beans into the bottom of a cookie sheet evenly.
Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with cheese over the top and season with
salt and pepper. Toss. Spread out covering the cookie sheet evenly.
3. Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is crispy and golden, about
15 minutes
