Two arrested in nearly year-long meth investigation

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two men have been arrested after being accused of being behind a meth-dealing operation.

33-year-old Thomas Rexroat of Indianapolis and 36-year-old Michael Blakey of Suwanee, Georgia have been arrested. The Indianapolis FBI Safe Streets Gang Task Force and Central Indiana Regional Gang Task Force investigated for ten months leading up to the arrest.

Investigators believe the men imported large quantities of meth to central Indiana.

The pair were arrested on July 19 after a search warrant on a hotel room in the 4500 block of South Harding Street was executed by an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department SWAT team. They face preliminary charges of dealing and possession of meth.

IMPD said that detectives have seized approximately 10 pounds of meth, four vehicles, a stolen vehicle, seven handguns, a shotgun and more than $23,000 in cash.
