INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One man has been arrested in connection to the first murder of 2016.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, 26-year-old Najee Givens has been taken into custody for the shooting death of 19-year-old Terry Williams.
Police said Givens was arrested by U.S. Marshalls in Canton, Ohio in late June and was extradited to Indianapolis in mid-July.
The fatal shooting of Williams occurred just after 11 p.m. on January 4 in the 6000 block of Windsor Drive.
In January, when police arrived on scene, they discovered Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. Williams was later pronounced dead on scene.
