INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Power & Light was working to restore power to more than 13,000 residents on Indianapolis’ east side Wednesday morning.

Multiple crews were called out after thousands lost power, just south of 30th Street, north of English Avenue, east of Sherman Drive and west of Post Road.

IPL said the outage was caused by downed lines. Around 1:30 p.m. around 381 people were still without power.

Work is expected to continue until all power is restored to residents, IPL said.
