Massive outdoor sculpture to be installed at UIndy
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A massive outdoor sculpture will be installed at UIndy Thursday afternoon.
The work of art will be installed on the University of Indianapolis campus at 1 p.m.
It’s the latest addition to UIndy’s Fifth Third Bank Campus Sculpture Walk.
The work of art is called “Crucible.” It was created by a Kentucky-based artist named Don Lawler.
The sculpture is 7,000 pounds and measure 5 feet in diameter.
The piece will be installed on the west side of Martin Hall.
The crane is expected to arrive at 1 p.m. to hoist the sculpture onto its concrete display area.
