Pregnant woman shot, man taken into custody
DECATUR, Ind. (WANE) – Police in Decatur took a man into custody Thursday night after a shooting that injured a pregnant woman.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of 10th Street to investigate a shooting. A man and a woman were inside the home. The woman was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment.
Neighbors told 24-Hour News 8’s sister station, WANE, That the two are in a relationship but are not married.
It’s not known at this time how or why the shooting happened.
