Surveillance photos released of man wanted for attempted child molestation

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana have released surveillance photos of a man who broke into a home and attempted to molest a child.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for the man who broke into a home on Wednesday morning and molested a young girl.

The suspect is described by police as a white male in his 30s or 40s, with either a shaved or balding head. He is around 5’8″ to 5’10” with a medium build.

He was wearing dark blue shorts with either yellow stripes or flames on the thigh area.

He appears to be carrying an item underneath his left arm. Police said he fled northbound to the alley west of South Belmont Avenue.

Tips can be made anonymously to 317-262-TIPS (8477) and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
