INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police have arrested a man after one of three fatal shootings Tuesday.
A man was fatally shot on the east side of Indianapolis on Tuesday evening, according to police.
It happened in the 2400 block of N. Kitley Avenue, near 21st Street and Arlington Avenue, around 8 p.m.
Police located a victim, 24-year-old Deontae Davis of Indianapolis, with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives later found out that 25-year-old Jamarr Edmond was involved in the shooting and he was taken into custody.
Edmond faces a preliminary charge of murder.
Police believe two groups of people were involved in an argument before the shooting. The case is still under investigation.
