One dead in Anderson crash

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — One person is dead following a crash involving two vehicles in Anderson.

According to the Anderson Police Department, witnesses said a pickup truck failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a Jeep near the intersection of Columbus Avenue and 67th Street.

A female driver was inside of the Jeep when the pickup truck struck the side of the Jeep just before 1 p.m. The Jeep landed about 75 feet from the point of impact. Both vehicles flipped and were left upside down.

One person inside of the truck died as a result of the crash. The driver of the Jeep and the other occupant of the truck were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
