Two injured in ATV accident
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Two people were injured in an ATV accident in Montgomery County Saturday evening.
According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, 26-year-old Bryce McTaggert and 57-year-old Steve Smith were hurt in the accident.
The incident occurred just before 8:30 p.m. near County Road 1050 North.
DNR officials said the two men were on a Polaris Ranger traveling at 45 mph when they came upon a hill and lost control of the ATV. The Ranger then flipped, McTaggertt suffered a dislocated should while Smith sustained a broken arm.
Both were taken to a nearby hospital.
It is believed that alcohol was a factor in the accident.
Operating while intoxicated charges are pending at this time, according to DNR officials.
