Heath professionals launching education effort to fight against heroin use
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Health professionals in Central Indiana are launching an education effort in the fight against heroin use.
Community Health Network is preparing a series of events about Narcan.
That’s the drug used by first responders to potentially reverse the effects of an overdose.
Monday there is a “Train the Trainer” session.
The plan is to prepare people taking part to teach the general public at an event later this month.
Community Health will host a special public session on August 31, which is International Overdose Awareness Day.
