Mobile Experience now at the Indiana State Fair

Grab your torch and celebrate the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay! Mark Newman, Executive Director, Indiana Department of Tourism, has the details!

• Starts September 9th in our first state capitol, Corydon and will travel in the state for almost 6 weeks ending in Indpls October 15th

• 3,200 miles will be covered and over 2,000 torch bearers will carry the torch

• The Torch will be carried by different ways in each county depicting the history of the area. Some will be by train, horse & buggy, boat, race car, tractor etc.

• The route will pass through Marion Co on Oct 12th from 8:30am-1:30pm

• Purdue University students and professors have created the torch that will be used for the torch relay. Most technologically advanced torch ever created
